MergeLuma and MergeChroma are already built-in to Avisynth, so there's no need to download and install them separately.

Yes, it's already built into 2.07 and 2.08, which is what most people are using right now until 2.5x is a bit more stable. It's probably been built-in since one of the early 2.0x versions (I don't feel like reading through the changelog to find this info, but you can if you like).

Hi Jorel,

I honestly have no idea whether or not dvd2svcd includes the MergeLuma/MergeChroma filters, because I don't use dvd2svcd. Doesn't avisynth come packaged within dvd2svcd? If so, I would imagine it probably uses one of the newer versions of avisynth that has the Merge filters pre-built (but then again, maybe not).

Regardless, I don't think too many people are using dvd2svcd to create their kvcd's anymore, so most people shouldn't need to worry about downloading those filters.

-d&c

By the way, why are you still using that old dvd2svcd method? Wouldn't the MovieStacker + Tok way be easier for you Just a thought. (I probably shouldn't talk though!...I still use the old-fashioned fully manual way because I like it best! )

"I honestly have no idea whether or not dvd2svcd includes the ..."
dvd2svcd don't came with this filters!

"Regardless, I don't think too many people are using dvd2svcd to ..."
see friend,i wrote.."a few members in the forum are using ..."
and sometimes someone ask for new script or filters!
...see the dates and views in the thread about dvd2svcd!!!

"By the way, why are you still using that old dvd2svcd method?"
yes,sometimes....see the reasons:
frameserving in (n) segments.
prediction works for long time ago, ToK is perfect only now(final fase)
(we are talking about the prediction part in ToK,ok?)
use of procoder....posted by myself in doom9 forum and did
a feature request ...the fiddler put this encoder in the last news dvd2svcd
and i fight for long time for my way to use subs,
is the very best way to use subs.....
than some members there with jealous, attack me and call me with
"strange qualifications".(idiot was the best qualification)
the best way to show subs in video!!!!!!
i have another feature request that the fiddler is implementing in the prog.
i found bugs in the prog that the fiddler sends me ok!!(posted here somewhere)
for me is the best program in the world to make svcd!!
when the genius here mix his ideas and build a complete program
to make kvcds,than maybe,i don't need to use dvd2svcd
to make kvcds no more!
see this thread:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....827ee92452df3e

do you want some links to the threads that i wrote?
about procoder,subs,bugs,features request???
waiting your answer! (pm if you want)

my poor english don't help me but....
with my knowledge of eletronics(30),musics and sound (42)and quality of image(33).....
this help me a lot,ok ?

and you wrote too:
"Wouldn't the MovieStacker + Tok way be easier for you...
!...I still use the old-fashioned fully manual way because I like it best!"
i recomend what i use!
i use ever:
dvd2svcd ,MovieStacker,ToK,TmpGenc,bbMPEG,dvd2avi176,sweeth ead,besweet,headac3he,some filters...all with Kwag's templates to get kvcds!
and some more good things.
and i talk this in all forums that i'm a member...
and some forums,in my language, call me for tutorials...
but this is not my paper...i post links and when someone have doubts,
i try to explain in my limitations!
i'm not against any prog, but i recomend only what i use!!
and this programs are fantastics.

Hi LadyMiles,

Download avisynth version 2.08 and install that. It's the most stable one right now. When you download "unfilter", you have two versions in the package. One for avisynth 2.5, and another older version. Install the old version!

Thanks Kwag,

I think I may have an older version of TMPEGnc also because I keep having to put in this line

#ConvertToRGB24 # For TMPGEnc or VFAPI

in order for it too look correctly.

Also whats the difference between Pixie Dust and Space Dust.
I apologize if its already been answered

Space is the fastest of the "Dust" filters. Pixie is a stronger filter, and will clean your source even more than Space, at the expense of a very Loooooooong encoding time
