Hello, friends!

I want to represent my program for SVCD creation. It has nice interface, supports CinemaCraft and Canopus ProCoder encoders, is simple to use and gives good results, I always work on it's improvement. Just take a look:

Hello Michael,

Welcome to KVCD.Net
I'm downloading your program right now

Edit: Any chance of using TMPGEnc and authoring as VCD in the future

Thanks, Kwag !

TMPGenc - maybe, but it's not too simple, so later. Now I want to eliminate all known and unknown problems, to improve program, how it's possible.

Regards,

Hi, Kwag !

I know about this issue, but just forgot to correct.
You probably have "Audio" checkbox unchecked. ("Encoding settings" -> "Process" ). You must have it checked , when "Video" is checked.
Once more, I know about this, and I'll correct it. But only I want to know, is that "video only" option is needed at all ?

BTW. The new update is online, and in the next update I'll correct this bug.

I'm glad to get your reply, even about a bug - it will really help to improve the program and to think about it futures. I've made a lot of movies with it, but used only the "standard" configuration.

Best regards,

Hi migor,

Yes, I had the "Audio" deselected, because I only wanted to encode the video stream
So then that's why it didn't work

Thanks!,

OK !

It's interesting to know, why you need only video ? It was just experiment, or it can be really need in special cases ?

I rather encode my audio with HeadAC3he instead of BeSweet. HeadAC3he is much faster that BeSweet, and I have my doubts about Surround-2 with BeSweet
I'm pretty sure many people will agree!

I understood.
I didn't use HeadAC3he, only BeSweet to extract audio from vobs and downmix to DS-2. Mpeg encoding is done by video encoder, and I don't hear something bad in the produced sound (bitrates 160 - 192). It sounds great on my "Onkyo-595" and surround channels with DS-2 are different. But maybe I must compare it the results of HeadAC3he ? I use BeSweet in the 2-pass mode, and it takes about 45 min on my old "Athlon" 1GHz.
I want to point out, that the way I use for audio (extract to wav and then encode) is needed for exact splitting of movie parts and fadings by avisynth - that's way I found, and I don't know to do it by another way.
What's your opinion ?

Hi Michael,

Instead of extracting the audio to WAV, you could just encode directly to .MP2 file, then you can split audio and video simultaneously using BBMpeg (runbbmpeg) with "Start seconds/End seconds" or "Max size" options
This would accelerate the complete process

Oh, yeah !
This is exactly the way, that I left ! It is written on my webpage:

One of the most significant differences between SVCD Builder and similar programs is that it doesn't create one big MPEG file and splits it into parts (CDs) but creates one file for each CD directly. This allows to optimize bitrate for each CD, create professional looking CDs with overlap and AV fades in the beginning and in the end of the CD.

migor is my friend from doom9!
i knew he and his program in april 25 and
this was my first words to him:
"congrats migor,
seems very good!
why don't use TMPGenc too?"

then he answer me:
"But maybe, I'll do it (if SVCDbuilder will be useful prog)"

and i post again:
"of course will be!
TMPGenc with Kwag's templates is faster and clean.
do you know it?
about Kwag's templates:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum
i have some ideas and pm to you later,ok?
see, more than 298 views in this thread(at the moment)!
your prog will be useful of course.
ps:
"One-click setting of Fade in and Fade out for each disc"
"Automatic splitting of the movie into 1-3 CD's"
"Visual adjustment of split and cut points"

....
few days after change pm with friend migor,
me and a "strange boy" from "there"
begin a fight and the "catty" five me "holidays" for 30 days.

and i was thinking:
oh no...and migor?!?
i don't want to loose to see his program growing...
what can i do....i can't post there...i'm in "holydays"

then i go to the migor's homepage and
send a mail with my idea as i wrote:
"dear friend, came to kvcd forum,
the forum is friendly and your program is great!
i'm waiting for you.
accept my invitation.
this was the idea that i was talking to you!
i'm waiting for you"

i wrote some like this and mail to migor....
then....

he came

great friend migor....welcome here
i'm really happy....
here is the very best and friendly forum that i know

hey, i'm "talking" too much.
...is my gladness, euphoria and tons more.
